On January 30th, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their side project Mad Season’s lone LP Above with a unique performance alongside the Seattle Symphony. The event is called “Mad Season Sonic Evolution,” and fellow Seattle greats like Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell (filling in for the late Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley), Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan will also take part in the event.

Additionally, the Mad Season Sonic Evolution event, which will also “pay tribute to Seattle-bands Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Mad Season and more,” revealed on the Pearl Jam Facebook page that three more “mystery” guests have signed on for the performance, joining the aforementioned rockers and conductor Ludovic Morlot with the Seattle Symphony.

While the event sold out long ago, the Vitalogy Foundation have set up a contest where winners will receive a pair of tickets to the show plus $1,000 in travel expenses and a meet-and-greet with McCready and other members of the Sonic Evolution gig. To enter the contest, head over to Crowdrise. Once there, a $10 donation scores you one entry into the contest, a $50 donation will net you five chances, etc.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations doing work in the fields of community health, the environment, social change and arts and entertainment. The contest closes on January 25th at 10 p.m. EST.
