Only four days remain before Adele returns with her much-anticipated new LP 25, and today the singer stopped by Sirius XM for a wide-ranging interview about her influences, motherhood and her upcoming album. During the chat, Adele spoke at length about “When We Were Young,” a song that she previewed Sunday on 60 Minutes.

“It was based on us being older, and being at a party at this house, and seeing everyone that you’ve ever fallen out with, everyone that you’ve ever loved, everyone that you’ve never loved, and stuff like that, where you can’t find the time to be in each other lives,” Adele said of the track, which was co-written by Tobias Jesso Jr. “And you’re all thrown together at this party when you’re like 50, and it doesn’t matter and you have so much fun and you feel like you’re 15 again. So that’s the kind of vibe of it really.”

Adele revealed that her favorite lyric on the track is “You look like a movie / You sound like a song / My god this reminds me of when we were young.”

Adele also talked about which current artists she listens to as well as her go-to album when she’s sad. “I like Chvrches a lot. I like Grimes a lot. Those are the ones who are my favorites that are relatively new,” Adele said. “I try to listen to music that might uplift me but I don’t really connect with it. So mainly, Jeff Buckley. And that’s been my entire life I’ve done that. I remember falling out with my best friend when I was like seven and listening to Jeff Buckley, because my mom was a huge fan. Grace has always been around me.”

Elsewhere in the Siriux XM interview, the singer also discussed body image, her favorite part about being a mom and promised that she will perform shows in support of 25. “I will be doing U.S. shows, at least as many I did last time, which wasn’t that many, so don’t get too excited,” Adele joked, referencing her 2012 U.S. tour that was canceled due to a vocal cord hemorrhage.
