AC/DC and guest singer Axl Rose have announced the 10 rescheduled U.S. dates of their Rock or Bust Tour, their final shows with the Guns N’ Roses singer filling in for longtime vocalist Brian Johnson.
GN’R’s Not in This Lifetime tour wraps up August 22nd in San Diego, California. Just five days later, on August 27th, Rose will be back onstage in Greensboro, North Carolina for the opening of AC/DC’s 10-date tour. The rescheduled jaunt concludes September 20th at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Wells Fargo Center.
“This band has got a ton of energy and you’re going to see a fusion of all that terrific chemistry that we have felt ever since rehearsals in Lisbon,” Angus Young said in a statement. “I want to get back out there onstage in the U.S. with these guys so our audience can see and feel it too.”
With Rose as lead singer, AC/DC have revisited tracks that have been absent from setlists for years, including “Riff Raff,” “Rock n’ Roll Damnation,” “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” and, for the first time since 1979, “Touch Too Much.”
Following Wednesday night’s AC/DC gig in Leipzig, Germany, only four more European Axl/DC concerts remain before the trek comes to a close June 15th in Dusseldorf, Germany. Rose will then travel back stateside to reunite once again with his GN’R bandmates at their tour-opening concert at Detroit’s Ford Field on June 23rd.
