AC/DC will return to the United States for a second leg of their Rock or Bust tour early next year. The dates kick off on Groundhog Day in Tacoma, Washington and run through early April, when they end at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale December 18th.

Earlier this year, the hard rockers played a run of dates in the U.S., in addition to a number of international gigs. Rolling Stone described the first stop of their North American tour in Foxborough, Massachusetts as “spectacular” and praised guitarist-songwriter Angus Young for “teasing the crowd for adulation while tossing off blistering solos and indelible riffs.”

The first run of Rock or Bust gigs signaled the return of drummer Chris Slade, who played with the group in the late Eighties and early Nineties and filled the shoes of the beleaguered Phil Rudd. The latter drummer, who joined the group in 1975, has spent much of the last year in New Zealand’s court system dealing with charges ranging from drug possession to threatening to kill. In July, he was sentenced to eight months of home detention. In August, he told reporters in New Zealand that he wanted to “get my job back, get back on the road and make a lot of money.”

The tour also marked the return of guitarist Stevie Young, who has replaced founding rhythm guitarist (and uncle) Malcolm Young. The elder guitar player has been suffering from dementia and is no longer able to tour. Stevie, who played on Rock or Bust, previously filled in for Malcolm on the band’s 1988 tour for their Blow Up Your Video album when the guitarist was battling alcoholism.

Despite the setbacks, Angus was adamant last winter that the group would make the most of 2015 and future touring. “Every year has its ups and downs, I suppose, but it’s been pretty rough, yeah,” he told Rolling Stone. “But we will definitely be out there. We are committed to do this.”
