5 Seconds of Summer Dream of Decadence in ‘Hey Everybody’ Video

Group also announces Sounds Live Feels Live tour for next year

From baby-faced YouTube celebs to international superstars, Sydney pop-punk quartet 5 Seconds of Summer follow up the success of their 2014 self-titled debut with their sophomore album, Sounds Good Feels Good, set for release October 23rd. On Friday, the group released the video for their second single, “Hey Everybody,” an anthem for the overworked and underpaid.

Set to the melody of Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf,” the video sees the band fantasizing about living the high life as they work a spectrum of menial jobs; among them a dog walker, a thankless intern, a hot dog peddler and a children’s party mascot.

“Hey everybody! We don’t have to live this way,” the band sings on the chorus as the members wave stacks of cash in each other’s faces, sporting furs and diamond-encrusted chains. This marks the fifth 5SOS video directed by Isaac Rentz, who’s also directed an array of videos by Cage the Elephant and Blink-182.

The band has also announced the upcoming Sounds Live Feels Live tour, kicking off July 2016 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. The gorup will also perform at this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2015 in December.
