Before Chromeo played an evening set at Bonnaroo that climaxed just as the sun retired behind the Tennessee skyline, the dance duo of David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel (a.k.a. Dave 1 and P-Thugg) let Rolling Stone's cameras trail their every move. Macklovitch did his best to caption the action:

"Signing Bonnaroo posters before the show. As you can tell I'm cheating off Pee's answers."

"The infamous Chromeo talkbox and the nucleus of our whole show. The sound goes from the keyboard, through the tube, into Pee's mouth and back out of his microphone. It's like having a speaker blaring through your throat for an hour."

"We've always been the security guys' favorite band. In our early days, when nobody else would get us and we'd play showcases in front of 17 confused hipsters, the security dudes would always come up to us and tell us they liked the funk."

"Here we are doing some press before the show. The girl with the green hair is a YouTube celebrity who gives awesome makeup tutorials. After we snapped this pic she gave me the Khaleesi makeover."

"Walking towards the stage. It's rare that our show starts during daylight. We had what they call the magic hour: Three songs in it was dusk and by the end, a nocturnal disco party."

"Seconds before we start playing, I'm thinking about my Bitcoin. Just kidding, I'm trying to remember what song we're going to start with. Just kidding, I'm fantasizing about Khaleesi."

"My trusted guitar tech Andrew hands me my guitar. Yes, it's all chrome. Well, it's actually all solid aluminum  neck, body, headstock, the whole thing  and it weighs about three Les Pauls."

"We spent our entire recording advance chroming out our stage setup because we knew it'd look good in pictures like these. The light at Bonnaroo was just spectacular."
