New York City will still be frozen solid tomorrow when Fall Out Boy unleash their new video for "Rat a tat," but bassist Pete Wentz tells us the band and guest vocalist Courtney Love were sweltering when they shot the Save Rock and Roll clip in Brooklyn over the summer. "It was far hotter and less hip than we had imagined," he admits. "Courtney is a trooper for sticking it out. Throw your hands in the air if it's too hot to care." Read on for more color commentary from Wentz on the shoot.
"Courtney has still got it. When she walked into the room she commanded it. Turns out the bullhorn was not necessary."
"Note to self: stay on Ms. Love's good side."
"If Captain Hook, King Joffrey and a member of the Cullen family had a baby this little monster is what it might turn out like."
"Aw, just kidding. He's sweet. He still poops angel wings."
"I imagine this is the vibe 'It's Courtney, bitch' biz lady Courtney would put off if Patrick the hook-handed intern got her coffee order wrong."
"'Oh don't mind me, I'm just rummaging around for something all stealthily with this giant bass neck machete. Also, are you on the market for a new TV? There have been some updates since this one came out.' P.S. I definitely need an eyebrow stylist or someone that can like make them less caterpillar-y."
"I get the vibe that Andy kind of really wanted to shoot somebody with this thing. He'd also be bummed if I didn't hashtag this #TREATED #HOTBOY."
"Courtney's performance here reminded me of why I and all of us fell in love with her in the first place. She has the ability to find the raw nerve in all of us — I mean, even I was ready to sign up for her evil army here."
