Watch Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, ZZ Top Look for ‘Tush’ on ACMs
The ACM touted its various match-ups during the 51st annual awards ceremony Sunday night but one grouping proved worthy of the anticipation.
Female Vocalist of the Year winner Miranda Lambert, hirsute classic rock trio ZZ Top, and Aussie country rocker Keith Urban joined forces for an incendiary take on the Top’s ageless ode to prowling for action, “Tush.” Why? Why not!
As Lambert shook a tambourine and lit into the microphone, growling “I ain’t asking for much” with fevered abandon, Urban and ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons giddily traded hot licks. Lambert has been performing the barn-burning blues strutter during her most recent tour dates so clearly she was happy to get back in the saddle on the tune fresh from her record-setting seventh consecutive Female Vocalist win.
