Watch Luke Bryan Salute Agrarian Life in ‘Here’s to the Farmer’ Video
Luke Bryan’s eighth annual Farm Tour gets underway in less than a month and will for the first time be augmented by the release of a new EP, Farm Tour. . . Here’s to the Farmer, on September 23rd. The video for the collection’s celebratory title track has also been released and gives a glimpse of what the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year’s fall traditions look like.
Comprised largely of footage from previous Farm Tours, the “Here’s to the Farmer” video features dazzling aerial shots of the stage setup and happy crowds lining up to get inside. Bryan sings of a farmer’s daily toil: working sun up to sun down, jeans covered in hydraulic fluid and honoring promises made to generations that came before. The chorus suggests raising a bottle or can to salute their efforts as well as the “handshake money” provided by banking benefactors.
The Farm Tour opens October 5th in Gaston, South Carolina and will include a rotating lineup of guests Chris Janson, the Peach Pickers, Granger Smith and Jon Langston. The annual trek, which brought out more than 110,000 attendees in 2015, continues Bryan’s fall tradition of performing in farming communities. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales on the Farm Tour is used to provide local college scholarships for students from the areas it visits.
