Watch Jake Owen’s Island-Hopping ‘Good Company’ Video
On Friday, Jake Owen released the video for his single “Good Company,” off his 2016 album American Love. In the new clip, Owen, an unapologetic beach aficionado, surrounds himself with azure water and island locals.
“So B.Y.O.B, it means bring yourself over, babe / Got what we need to make good vibes, good times / And a damn good memory,” Owen sings.
“I used to always worry, ‘Was I was country enough?’ Because I come from Florida. And I didn’t want to let too much of my Florida roots come through, because what if it makes me lose my record deal?” Owen told Rolling Stone Country in July. “But now, I kind of don’t care.”
Released through RCA Nashville, American Love is Owen’s fifth full-length record, hitting the top position on Billboard‘s Top Country charts in August. “Good Company” is currently sitting at Number 53 in its first two weeks.
Owen continues a North American run of tour dates through the summer, canvassing the South before heading to the West Coast and Canada into the fall.
