Watch Clare Dunn’s Pastoral ‘Tuxedo’ Video
Listening to the slightly goofy way Kenny Chesney’s “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” and Luke Bryan’s “Country Man” portray men, it’s easy to dismiss the notion that women might be drawn to that particular set of characteristics. But maybe it has something to do with the delivery, because Clare Dunn’s “Tuxedo” makes a hard-working country man sound like the pinnacle of sex appeal.
Released yesterday via Vevo, the “Tuxedo” video builds on that conclusion by putting the singer-songwriter in pastoral settings opposite a handsome guy who seems to know his way around a farm. Shot on a Tennessee farm by director Kristen Barlowe, it’s quite the contrast from the song’s pop-heavy production — a hypnotic rhythm that explodes like a supernova as it hits the mighty chorus hook. An accomplished guitar player, Dunn also looks practically glam tearing into her six string while surrounded by the lofted beams of a barn.
On May 27th, Dunn — who spent last fall on tour with Miranda Lambert — will perform at the Country 500 Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, alongside Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Willie Nelson and many others.
