In the first two episodes of Long Live the Storytellers, songwriter Brent Cobb struggled to find the inspiration to write a new song. To spark his creativity, he whittled, tossed horseshoes and stared at the walls of his motel room, searching seemingly in vain for lyrics and a melody to come to him.
In Episode Three, it all makes sense: an off-hand remark made by a window washer, the rhythm of his knife blade sharpening a stick and the clang of the horseshoes all come together to form the basis of a new song – “Ain’t a Road Too Long.”

Long Live the Storytellers, presented by Ram Trucks, is a four-part series, which takes fans along with Cobb on his journey of writing and recording a song. Each installment tells a part of the story, celebrating the long road of a songwriter and showcasing the resilience, hard work, integrity and tenacity that the craft demands – the same values on which Ram Trucks were built.
The music video for “Ain’t a Road Too Long” premieres September 15th on Rolling Stone Country.
