Brantley Gilbert shows off his idea of high-octane stress relief in the new video for “The Weekend,” the first single from his upcoming third album, The Devil Don’t Sleep.
Featuring the singer’s wife Amber and a plot line that calls for Gilbert and his band to blow off some steam, the new clip is full of hot rods, ATVs and flame-throwing performance shots, perfect for the Georgia native’s latest tough-country anthem.
With lyrics all about suffering through the work week and letting loose once pay day comes around, Gilbert and his crew of crusty country rockers kick themselves into party mode in the video, crashing a stuffy, high-society brunch banquet where everyone is wearing white. At first, the sight of tattoos and steel-toed boots seems to frighten the locals, but it soon becomes clear that everyone speaks the language of “The Weekend.”
Gilbert’s new album The Devil Don’t Sleep is set to come out January 13th, and on February 3rd he’ll drop the hammer on his tour of the same name in State College, Pennsylvania.
