Watch Brad Paisley’s Wildly Animated ‘Crushin’ It’ Video

Country superheroes in the clip include “Carrie Underwoman,” “Flash Smiley” (Luke Bryan) and “Derx Skydrinker” (Dierks Bentley)

Forget about The Avengers, Brad Paisley just released this summer’s newest superhero blockbuster, the brand new video for his latest single, “Crushin’ It.”

Paisley hand-drew the entire animated video, casting himself and his country star friends as secret “weekend vigilantes” with super powers that fans never knew about until now. And since it’s the notoriously slapstick Paisley, he poked a little light-hearted fun at his fellow crime fighters in the process. They say it takes one to know one, after all.

The drawings themselves are sort of endearingly crude, but still really impressive, and each character is instantly recognizable.

With a primary objective of ridding the world of empty beer cans (especially the evil robot kind), Paisley’s list of secret country superheroes includes himself as “Steel Moonshiner,” Carrie Underwood as “Carrie Underwoman,” Kenny Chesney as “Aqua Man,” a swivel-hipped Luke Bryan as “Flash Smiley” and Blake Shelton as “General B.S.”

Darius Rucker is cast as “The Hoot Owl,” Florida Georgia Line are really clones of Beavis and Butthead and Rascal Flatts charge up their mobility scooters as the “Hell’s Rascals.” Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are “the Timcredibles,” Keith Urban is “Captain Australia” and Dierks Bentley becomes “Derx Skydrinker” whenever there’s trouble. Even late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel and his sidekick Guillermo get in on the action.

“Crushin’ It” is currently rising through the Top 20 on Billboard‘s country airplay chart, and Paisley (“Steel Moonshiner”) kicks off his Crushin’ It World Tour on May 15th in Philadelphia — which we now know (thanks to the video) is meant to ensure people can drink their weekend beers in peace, without the threat of aluminum annihilation looming overhead.
