When Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon took country superstar and The Voice coach Blake Shelton to L.A.’s trendy Nobu restaurant last May, he gave the Oklahoma native his first taste of sushi and sake, the Japanese wine made from fermented rice. “What does it taste like to you?” Fallon asked, to which Shelton comically replied, “Easter egg coloring.”
On Monday night’s show, Shelton took the Brooklyn-born comedian into surroundings more familiar to the “A Guy With a Girl” singer, as he gave him a lesson on how to milk a cow. On location at a farm in New York, with Fallon dressed in denim overalls and a cowboy hat, Shelton looked on, rubbed his hands together and enthused, “I can’t wait! I can’t wait for this!” Shelton’s “coaching” however, consisted mostly of mocking everything from Fallon’s questionable wardrobe to the disrespectful way he approached the cow’s teat before the milking began.
“This is all about romance and finesse,” Shelton said. The touching romantic tale unfolds in this – ahem – udderly hilarious clip, which concludes with the two sharing a memorable toast with Fallon’s first milking results.
