Vince Gill and Friends Tour to Feature Ashley Monroe, Charlie Worsham, Jenny Gill

Vince Gill is embarking on a mini-tour in March that will see the Country Music Hall of Famer sharing the stage with three of his favorite collaborators.
The Vince Gill & Friends Tour will feature singer-songwriters Ashley Monroe and Charlie Worsham, along with the singer’s daughter, Jenny Gill, with all four artists performing together. Set for March 19th—22nd, the trek will visit Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin, mimicking the theme of the short series of shows Gill played this month with Lyle Lovett.
“This won’t be a guitar pull,” the country icon explains, “where one person sings while the others listen and wait for their turn. We’ll all be pitching in, picking and singing harmony for each other and doing each other’s songs. It will be a musical collaboration — not a headliner with opening acts.”
A 20-time Grammy winner who has been a guest artist on nearly 1,000 albums by other performers in almost every musical genre, Gill is currently producing the follow-up to Monroe’s Like a Rose, which earned a spot on nearly every “best-of” list in 2013. The angelic-voiced singer is currently in the Top Ten with “Lonely Tonight,” her duet with Blake Shelton. Worsham, a multifaceted musician who has opened shows for Taylor Swift and shared the stage with Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves, also earned raves for his 2013 debut LP, Rubberband. Acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Jenny Gill had recorded a debut album produced by her dad, but the LP was on hold pending the arrival of her first child, born last August. No word yet on when the disc will be released.
