Tucker Beathard, Ryan Hurd Slate Late Night ‘Wrecking Ball’ Concert

Young singer-songwriters will perform after-hours gig June 7th in Nashville

Two Nashville young guns are hosting a new late-night concert during CMA Music Festival week in Nashville. Tucker Beathard and Ryan Hurd will perform at the inaugural Wrecking Ball on Wednesday, June 7th, at Music City nightspot 3rd & Lindsley.

Beathard and Hurd are both Rolling Stone Country Artists You Need to Know alumni, and each singer-songwriter puts a unique spin on country music. For Beathard, the son of hit songwriter Casey Beathard, it’s an alt-rock sound, with jangly guitars and sneering vocals in singles like “Rock On” and “Momma and Jesus.” Hurd, often popping up on social media with girlfriend Maren Morris, brings a moody aesthetic to songs like “City Girl” and “Love in a Bar.”

The Wrecking Ball is set to kick off immediately following the CMT Music Awards, held that same evening at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Interestingly, the concert competes with another after-hours show: Marty Stuart’s more traditional-country Late Night Jam, at the Ryman Auditorium.
