Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge to Headline CMT Fall Tour

Two of country music’s more dapper dudes, Thomas Rhett and Brett Eldredge, are hitting the road together. This fall, the pair will bring their brand of metro-country to cities across the nation as the co-headliners of the 14th Annual CMT On Tour. Dates will be announced later this year.
Dubbed the Suits & Boots Tour, a nod to Rhett and Eldredge’s often GQ-level fashion sense, the CMT-sponsored trek will also feature Danielle Bradbery as a special guest. The “Crash and Burn” singer and the Frank Sinatra crooner announced the tour during a well-scripted Twitter exchange this afternoon, and took good-natured pot shots at each other in a video they posted to YouTube. The matter at hand: who will open for whom. (Watch the video below.)
Currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line, Rhett has been perfecting his soulful country hybrid with songs like current hit “Crash and Burn,” as well as “Southside” and “T-Shirt” from his upcoming second album. The Bruno Mars-inspired singer recently released a throwback video for “Crash,” which was co-written by Chris Stapleton. Eldredge, meanwhile, is on tour with Darius Rucker and joined the headliner at his annual charity concert this week in Nashville to perform Sinatra favorites. Eldredge’s new album, titled Illinois, will be released September 11th.
The duo are both set to appear on tonight’s CMT Music Awards and will each perform during this week’s CMA Music Festival in Nashville.
