See Zac Brown Band’s Reflective ‘Roots’ on ‘Today’

Group promotes newly-released album ‘Welcome Home’ with ‘Today’ concert series performance

To mark the release of their new album Welcome Home, Zac Brown Band performed a short outdoor set in New York City this morning as part of Today‘s summer concert series. Watch the band perform album cut “Roots” above.

“Roots” was the final song the band shared before the release of Welcome Home. The nostalgic track takes stock of where the band came from, and their celebratory Today performance is a nice bookend to the career-spanning music video the band shared along with the track’s release.

During the concert, Brown and his band also performed Welcome Home cuts “My Old Man” and “Family Table,” along with the 2015 single “Homegrown” from Jekyll + Hyde. Welcome Home came out May 12th.

Zac Brown Band are currently on tour. Their next stop is May 26th in Gilford, New Hampshire. They’ll play Buckeye Country Superfest and Summerfest in early summer, before late summer dates that include Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Hershey, Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark Stadium.
