See Willie Nelson Tell Jokes, Talk Girls With Jimmy Kimmel
Yesterday evening, Jimmy Kimmel Live aired the first episode of a two-show tribute to the CMA Awards, which airs its 50th annual broadcast later this evening on ABC. Following the ceremony, Kimmel will hit the airwaves again, this time rounding out its 2016 CMAs coverage with appearances by Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton and a hologrammed Hunter Hayes.
While Stapleton, Lambert and Parton are all scheduled to appear as part of the show’s infamous “Mean Tweets” segment, Nelson makes his own appearance in a revamped version of Kimmel’s “Ridiculous Questions.” In these two clips, Nelson and Kimmel trade drinks of Crown Royal and one-liners inside a cocktail lounge, offering answers to such pressing queries as, “What would you really say to all the girls you’ve loved before?”
Nelson also tells a joke, asking Kimmel if he’s “heard about the skeleton that went into the bar and ordered a beer and a mop.” We won’t ruin the punchline, but suffice it to say, we prefer the guy’s work in Half Baked.
