There’s no place like Las Vegas, where you can hit the jackpot and get hitched in the same building. In Nikki Lane’s new video for “Jackpot,” she does both of those things, earning some quick cash to pay rent before heading to the chapel to get married by Vegas’ finest Elvis impersonator. Watch the video above.
“Jackpot” is a hard-rocking, honky-tonkin’ cut off Lane’s forthcoming third album Highway Queen. She co-produced the album with fellow Nashville artist Jonathan Tyler, who also inspired the song itself.
“I wrote [‘Jackpot’] about meeting Jonathan and hitting the jackpot,” Lane tells Rolling Stone Country. “The first thing we did was to give each other 777 tattoos when we started dating, about hitting the jackpot. I was looking for a bridge and had written all the lyrics, and I had some notes down and just started singing, ‘Viva Las Vegas!'”
Highway Queen is out February 17th and Lane hits the road February 22nd in Birmingham, Alabama, as part of the Stagecoach Spotlight Tour with guests Brent Cobb, Robert Ellis, and Tyler.
