See Midland Run Moonshine in Stylish ‘Drinkin’ Problem’ Video
The members of Midland – Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, Jess Carson – hit the road in the new video for the song “Drinkin’ Problem,” released earlier this week.
Directed by Duddy, the clip takes the idea of a “drinkin’ problem” to the extreme, with the Texas trio running what looks like moonshine to various bars and watering holes before getting busted by the cops. Don’t worry, though – there’s a happy ending (except for those unlucky police officers). The classic Cadillac and old-school bars depicted in the video are a natural fit for the guys, who are known for their vintage style.
“Drinkin’ Problem” is the band’s first single, a harmony-rich Seventies-inspired tune they co-produced with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne from their self-titled debut EP. The EP’s four tracks earned the band early comparisons to acts like the Eagles and George Strait, and landed them on Rolling Stone Country‘s 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know list in November.
The trio will join Tim McGraw and Faith Hill for a handful of Canadian Soul2Soul Tour dates in May.
