See Martina McBride’s Artful ‘Reckless’ Video
There’s no brush required when Martina McBride puts paint on a wall. And no stylist is needed when she chops off her hair in the brand-new video for “Reckless,” the first single from an upcoming album of the same name. Directed by Jeff Venable, the clip stars only McBride, belting the mid-tempo tune as she uncovers hidden messages written on the walls of an abandoned house.
Her 13th studio album, Reckless hits stores April 29th and will mark her first release on the new Nash Icon record label. She once again pairs with Dann Huff, the producer of 2014’s Everlasting album, along with Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift, Mickey Guyton) on the project.
“That’s what making this album felt like to me: coming home,” says McBride. “We took our time and just let the songs and production develop and even though working with Dann and Nathan together was a new experience, somehow we captured a sound that feels like the music I’ve done my whole career and yet fresh at the same time.”
McBride wrapped her almost two-year-long Everlasting tour last week. No word yet on whether there will be a Reckless tour to follow.
