See LoCash’s Joyful ‘I Love This Life’ on ‘Today’
After years of struggle, country duo LoCash broke through in late 2015 with the Number Two hit “I Love This Life,” which they performed on NBC’s Today on February 24th.
Though they’re singing the tune early in the morning, LoCash principals Chris Lucas and Preston Brust treat the appearance like an arena show, delivering every line as if it’s the most important one in the song. Lucas chimes in on high harmony while Brust, free to move about the sound stage, mugs for the camera and motions for the sky.
Brust and Lucas wrote the optimistic song with Danny Myrick and rising star Chris Janson, with whom they also penned Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah.” They released the I Love This Life EP in October 2015 and are currently recording their full length album. Their latest single is “I Know Somebody.”
Long regarded as one of Nashville’s hardest working acts, LoCash have a packed schedule in 2016 between their own headlining dates and festival appearances.
