Kelsea Ballerini was a busy bee in New York on Tuesday, performing her latest single, the nostalgic “Legends,” on Good Morning America and later on The Tonight Show Featuring Jimmy Fallon. With her appearances, Ballerini also revealed her upcoming album’s title, Unapologetically, and its release date of November 3rd.
“[‘Legends’] covers loss and love and life, which is what the whole record is about,” Ballerini told GMA host Robin Roberts. “So it’s the first step to everything.”
On Fallon, Ballerini struggled in a game of charades while partnered with actor Matt Bomer, but she did manage to beat out fellow Tennessean Jessica Biel in a head to head question about Justin Timberlake’s song “Cry Me a River.” Biel, married to Timberlake since 2012, rhetorically asked if she might get divorced as a result.
Ballerini’s debut, 2015’s The First Time, was certified Gold in October, helped along in part by the two Platinum singles “Peter Pan” and “Love Me Like You Mean It.” “Legends,” her first single from her new album, sits at Number 43 on Billboard Country Airplay after seven weeks on the chart.
