See Kelsea Ballerini’s Cinematic ‘Legends’ Video

Clip for lead single from Tennessee native’s second album spins a tale both tragic and hopeful

Kelsea Ballerini has been riding high off the release of her new single “Legends” since early summer, and now she’s given the anthemic track a gripping music video treatment.

The cinematic clip begins at the scene of a crashed car before showing glimpses of a young couple from the early stages of their relationship through the birth of their first child. There’s a tragic twist at the end, but, in keeping with the song’s hopeful message, the video ends on a heartwarming note. Clips of Ballerini performing on a cliff with the Pacific coast of Big Sur, California in the background are interspersed throughout the Jeff Venable-directed video.

“Legends” is the first single off Ballerini’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled second album. She wrote the track with Hillary Lindsey and Forest Glen Whitehead.

Ballerini is currently supporting Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good Tour, which hits Clarkston, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana this week. She’ll also host CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock with Thomas Rhett on ABC on August 16th.
