See Dustin Lynch’s Sultry ‘Mind Reader’ on ‘Seth Meyers’

Following two consecutive Number One singles at country radio (“Where It’s At” and “Hell of a Night”), Dustin Lynch has selected “Mind Reader” as the third release from his album Where It’s At. The singer made his debut on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday, turning in a sultry performance of the R&B-tinged tune penned by veteran hitmakers Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip.
Lynch was on the East Coast wrapping a four-night run of dates on his own headlining Hell of a Night Tour, before Thursday night’s kick-off of Luke Bryan’s 2016 Kill the Lights trek in Evansville, Indiana, which also features Grammy winners Little Big Town.
Throughout his initial run of tour dates with the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Lynch has been making sure to play close attention, honing his own onstage routine along the way.
“The main thing I took away from watching Luke as far as a performer goes, is he’s so comfortable with who he is onstage and carefree,” he tells Rolling Stone Country. “As a young artist you’re so self aware and not confident with what you’re doing onstage in front of a crowd that big that I think you get caught up in the ‘How do I look when I go over here?’ or ‘Should I go here?’ And watching him has allowed me to not take myself so seriously. I’m having so much more fun onstage.”
