See Chris Janson’s Fiery ‘Positive Drinkin’ on ‘Seth Meyers’
Currently on tour with Blake Shelton, Chris Janson has been gaining more fans with his high-energy live show. Anchored by his breakthrough hit “Buy Me a Boat,” Janson’s set touches on songs from his debut album, including the autobiographical love story “Holdin’ Her” and current single “Power of Positive Drinkin’.”
Janson performed “Drinkin'” on NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers last night, revamping the song’s intro to include his signature harmonica skills. With its countdown chorus, the single also offers Janson a chance to vamp onstage, shooting a crazy-eyes stare at one point, raising his arm triumphantly at another.
The Missouri native will perform a solo show tonight in Sayreville, New Jersey, and rejoin Shelton’s tour for its final three dates on Thursday. A regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry, Janson appears on the Opry’s latest live compilation, Discoveries From the Circle, and recently reprised his blistering cover of “Folsom Prison Blues” at the Nashville institution.
