Blake Shelton puts on his best poker face — literally — for his new “She’s Got a Way With Words” video.
There’s no Miranda Lambert lookalike here, acting the part of the narrator’s ex who “put the low in blow” and “put a big F.U. in my future.” In fact, only a couple of females grace the clip, and they all seem to be the kind of girls who can hang with the guys in a strictly platonic way — playing poker, playing in Shelton’s band and throwing back beers. That’s likely Shelton’s post-breakup message with this clip: I get by with a little help from my friends.
The “She’s Got a Way With Words” video was shot inside an old dentist’s office in Shelton’s hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He bought the building and gutted it, turning part of the office into a dive bar for the clip.
The Andy Albert, Marc Beeson and Wyatt Earp-penned tune is the second single off Shelton’s If I’m Honest album.
