Blake Shelton stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night to perform “A Guy With a Girl” and chat with Kimmel about girlfriend Gwen Stefani, going to Disneyland and … The Golden Girls (watch a portion of the interview above).
During the conversation, Shelton shared with Kimmel that Stefani took him to her hometown of Anaheim, California, for his first visit to the Magic Kingdom, as well as a trip down memory lane.
“She took me to Disneyland and then she drove me down the street to the house that she grew up in, and then the house where they basically created No Doubt and wrote a lot of the songs and rehearsed every day,” he said. “It’s on Beacon Street down there. I got to see all that stuff.”
As Stefani took selfies in front of her old home, the house’s new residents were, according to Shelton, peeping out their window at the famous couple standing in their yard. They never did come out to greet the pair, however.
“It was so weird,” Shelton laughed. “All you saw was, like, curtains. Remember the movie The Birds? It was like that.”
Shelton also didn’t hold back when Kimmel brought up The Golden Girls and one of its stars, Bea Arthur.
“Dorothy,” Shelton quickly answered when Kimmel asked about his favorite Golden Girl. “For sure. I think her sarcasm on that show is incredible, don’t you think?”
Shelton just wrapped up Season 11 of The Voice. His team member Sundance Head was the show’s big winner.
