See Blake Shelton, Adam Levine Croon ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ in ‘Voice’ Promo
The superstar coaches of The Voice put their vocal gifts in a classic context for a new promotional video, a vintage-Vegas homage that imagines Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Kelly Clarkson as a modern Rat Pack.
Filmed in black and white and made to resemble the Las Vegas showroom scene of the 1960s, the clip begins with Shelton and Levine’s casual, crooning duet of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon.” With Shelton catching up on his cocktail quota and providing easy laughs throughout, the two friends nailed the coolest-guys-in-the-room aura that made Sinatra and Dean Martin such a memorable combo.
Not to be outdone, Keys and Clarkson also take a stab at another classic, applying their talents to a vibey, strutting rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good.” Backed by a full band and red hot brass section, Keys’ raw, emotive vocals mix with Clarkson’s sophisticated acrobatics into a slinky performance that radiates confidence.
Season 14 of The Voice premieres Monday, February 26th at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. Additionally, Shelton was just announced as a headliner for the 2018 Watershed Festival in August.
