Sam Hunt and Luke Bryan will headline the 2017 Pepsi Rock the Festival when it returns to Cullman, Alabama in June. The two-day festival runs June 2nd – 3rd, with additional performers and set times to be announced at a later date.

Rock the South was first held in 2011 to raise funds for victims of a series of tornadoes that devastated many parts of Alabama. Since then, the event has grown larger, with proceeds from following years benefitting a number of Cullman’s local charities, including Cullman City Parks and Recreation and the Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett headlined last year’s festival.

For the first time, this year attendees Rock the South will have the option to camp on-site. Additional amenities for festival-goers include a fan pool and an array of Southern-inspired dining options.

Hunt has a strong personal connection to Alabama, having played football for two years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His debut album Montevallo was named for a small city south of Birmingham where Hunt and his now-fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler spent time together.

On New Year’s Eve, Hunt shared “Drinkin’ Too Much,” a confessional new song about Fowler that he released via SoundCloud. The pair announced their engagement the following day. No details about a sophomore album from Hunt are available yet.

Tickets for Rock the South go on sale January 23rd.
