Reba McEntire, Alison Krauss Join Kristofferson Tribute Lineup

On March 16th, an all-star cast of performers will convene at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to celebrate legendary singer-songwriter-actor Kris Kristofferson. The final lineup for the event, titled “The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson,” will now include performances by Reba McEntire, Alison Krauss, Buddy Miller, Larry Gatlin, Jessi Colter and Shooter Jennings in tribute to the Country Music Hall of Fame member.
They join previously announced performers Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum and Hank Williams Jr. Ryan Bingham, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Jennifer Nettles, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram, Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack are also on the bill, along with Kristofferson’s Highwaymen counterpart Willie Nelson. Kristofferson will be performing with select guests throughout the evening.
Grammy-winning producer Don Was serves as musical director of a band that includes Buddy Miller on guitar. With songs like “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” “Help Me Make It Through the Night” and “Me and Bobby McGee,” Kristofferson has cemented his place as one of music’s greatest poets and a true renaissance man: he’s also been a Golden Gloves boxer, Army Ranger, helicopter pilot and humanitarian.
A few final tickets are still available for “The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson,” which will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation and its mission of funding medical research on leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
