Texas six-piece the Randy Rogers Band have announced a 2017 tour. With a reputation as hard-touring road warriors, the group has 25 early 2017 dates already on the books, including shows in Boston, Washington, D.C. and New York, as well as an appearance at April’s Stagecoach Music Festival in California.

There’s also a special solo acoustic performance by Rogers at the 2017 Black Tie and Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball on January 19th in Oxon Hill, Maryland, the day before the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president. The event was established by the Texas State Society in 1953 and celebrates incoming presidents, originally serving as a pre-inaugural cocktail party for President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Randy Rogers Band scored a spot within the Top Five on Billboard’s Hot Country Albums Chart with the release of their latest album, January’s Nothing Shines Like Neon. Rogers himself will record an album with frequent collaborator and touring partner Wade Bowen in the new year, while the entire band is also working on new music for 2017.

Earlier this year, Rogers and his band covered George Strait’s 2007 hit “Wrapped” as part of the promotion for Strait’s recently released compilation Strait Out of the Box: Part 2. The group recorded the cover in the home studio of Bruce Robison, who wrote the song.
