See Morgan Wallen’s Rousing Live ‘Whiskey Glasses’ Video

“Up Down” singer will share upcoming tours with Florida Georgia Line, Luke Combs

Morgan Wallen turns in a thrilling live rendition of his current hit “Whiskey Glasses” in a new video that was released overnight. The song is the Knoxville, Tennessee, native’s follow-up to the chart-topping “Up Down” and second single from his debut album If I Know Me.

Filmed during Wallen’s sold-out January 31st show at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, the clip shows an audience already quite familiar with his work. “I think this song right here could be special for all of us tonight, man,” he tells the crowd, with his band dialing down the volume while he talks. “This song is about the last time I got broken up with,” he adds, laughing. From there he launches straight into the song’s repetition-heavy bridge, supported by the enthusiastic crowd, before bringing it back around to the opening verse. It goes that way for the duration, Wallen alternately showing off his gritty vocals and letting the audience have a turn to sing a few lines.

Currently a Top 5 hit on the Mediabase country chart, “Whiskey Glasses” just hit Number One on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs on the same day Wallen celebrated his 26th birthday. Wallen also recently picked up a CMT Music Award nomination for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Whiskey Glasses.”

This summer, Wallen will support Florida Georgia Line’s Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour, which gets underway June 13th. He’ll follow that with another supporting gig, joining up with the fall leg of Luke CombsBeer Never Broke My Heart Tour beginning October 3rd.
