Margo Price caps off a memorable 2016 and looks ahead to next year with the announcement of her Born to Ramble Spring Tour. The trek, which actually kicks off in late February when Price returns from a European tour, runs through April 8th and stops on nearly 20 cities along the way. Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 16th at 10 a.m. local time.
Price released her LP Midwest Farmer’s Daughter on Jack White’s Nashville-based Third Man Records, getting the thumbs up from the taste-making rocker after singing straight to acetate at his headquarters. “He shook my hand and he said he loved the album and that it was genuine and it was real and it was good to hear that back in country music,” she told Rolling Stone back in March.
More recently, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter LP landed on Rolling Stone Country‘s list of the 40 Best Country Albums of 2016, while Price was named the Americana Music Association’s Emerging Artist of the Year. Other highlights of her year include White for a performance on A Prairie Home Companion. She was also one of the few country acts this year to serve as musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
