Maren Morris is set to make her Saturday Night Live debut. The "My Church" singer has been tapped as the musical guest of the December 10th episode of the long-running sketch comedy series. WWE star John Cena will host the show.
Maren's appearance on SNL continues the show's tradition of tapping hot country stars to sing on its stage. Chris Stapleton and Margo Price both performed in episodes last season, and Blake Shelton hosted and sang in a 2015 show.
The Saturday Night Live coup is just the latest high-profile appearance for Morris. On Friday, she sang with Alicia Keys on CMT Crossroads and, a few days after her SNL performance, will sit down with Chelsea Handler for an interview on the comedian's Netflix series Chelsea. Morris was named New Artist of the Year at November's 50th CMA Awards and will launch her headlining Hero Tour in February.
