Maren Morris Plots Headlining Tour, ‘CMT Crossroads’ With Alicia Keys
Since being named New Artist of the Year at the 50th CMA Awards earlier this month, Maren Morris has become quite the hot commodity, especially on the concert stage.
On February 3rd, she’ll kick off her headlining Hero Tour. Named after her breakout debut album, the trek will hit cities from Boston and Philadelphia to Nashville and Chicago. There’s also a trio of homecoming gigs in her native Lone Star State, including a stop at the iconic venue Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas.
Ryan Hurd, who just released the new single “City Girl,” and newcomer Devin Dawson will open the shows. Morris and Hurd are currently dating.
In April, the “My Church” singer will also perform at the three-day Stagecoach country music festival in Indio, California, joining a lineup that includes nightly headliners Shania Twain, Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney.
Finally, on December 2nd, Morris teams up with R&B singer Alicia Keys for an installment of CMT Crossroads. Together, the rising country star and the coach of The Voice perform such collaborations as Morris’ “80s Mercedes” and “My Church,” and Keys’ “No One” and “If I Ain’t Got You.”
