Luke Bryan has been forced to postpone the second date of his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” due to a stage collapse that injured several crewmembers, at the opening night in Columbus, Ohio yesterday. Tonight’s Lexington, Kentucky gig has been moved to Friday, February 21st.
A representative for Bryan said that the accident occurred during load out, after the audience had left the building. The tour’s team is making necessary repairs to the stage so the tour can continue.
According to TMZ, a forklift reportedly crashed into a portion of the stage and four people were taken to a hospital for injuries.
The unfortunate occurrence is a lousy way for Bryan to start his biggest tour to date — earlier this week, he announced a slew of summer tour dates, including three stadium shows. Last year, he sold 1.5 million copies of his fourth LP, Crash My Party and was named artist of the year at the American Country Awards and entertainer of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
