Luke Bryan Shakes It for Central Park, Films ‘Nashville’ Cameo

Luke Bryan took a couple of man-sized bites out of the Big Apple on Friday, taping a special appearance for an upcoming episode of the hit ABC drama Nashville. The country hunk’s cameo on the series will also feature Good Morning America anchor Amy Robach and Nashville‘s Rayna James, played by Connie Britton.
In an interview with Robach before filming his scene, the “Roller Coaster” singer said, “It’s a new world for me. I’ll try not to mess up.”
One thing the superstar clearly did not mess up was his live concert for the GMA viewing audience — his performance marked the largest number of fans this year to pack Central Park for the morning show’s Summer Concert Series. The event, for which fans began lining up early Thursday afternoon, also sent the hashtag #LukeBryanOnGMA trending Number One worldwide after the show.
Next up for Bryan is Sunday night’s stop at Boston’s Gillette Stadium. It’s the second of his four stadium gigs on this summer’s That’s My Kind of Night Tour.
The Nashville episode featuring Bryan is scheduled to air on October 1st. The show’s third season premieres September 24th at 9:00 pm ET/PT on ABC, with an unprecedented episode that will feature live musical performances from actors Chris Carmack (“Will Lexington”) and Charles Esten (“Deacon Claybourne”).
