The memories of a sold-out Stagecoach 2015 music festival are just a few months old, but the stellar lineup for 2016 has already been revealed. Taking place April 29th to May 1st at Indio, California’s Empire Polo Club, the event will feature headliners Eric Church, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan. While all three have headlined the festival in years past, next year will mark Underwood’s first time doing so since 2011.
Among the dozens of additional performers at the eclectic country and Americana-leaning festival are big names Chris Young, Sam Hunt, Joe Nichols, the Band Perry, Little Big Town, Dustin Lynch, Chris Stapleton, John Fogerty, the Doobie Brothers, Emmylou Harris and Marty Stuart. On the more fringe end of the roster are Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, Sam Outlaw, Lucero, the Deslondes, Luke Bell and Aaron Watson. The lineup for each day will feature no less than 18 acts, with veterans and newcomers alike.
Billed as “California’s Country Music Festival,” Stagecoach began in 2007 as a two-day event on four stages with George Strait, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn all receiving top billing that year. In 2008, the festival expanded to three days, with the Eagles headlining the first day. Eric Church and Luke Bryan last headlined in 2014, with Jason Aldean. Highlights of 2015’s lineup included appearances from Merle Haggard, Jake Owen, Cam, Brothers Osborne and Kacey Musgraves, with many of them captured behind the scenes for a special Rolling Stone Country photo gallery.
Tickets for next spring’s Stagecoach Music Festival will go on sale Friday, October 9th, at 11:00 a.m. PT.
