Loretta Lynn Postpones Concerts to Recover From Recent Fall

Loretta Lynn has announced that she will be postponing three upcoming shows following injuries she recently sustained after falling. Over Labor Day weekend she was also forced to cancel a show that was to be held in Hurricane Mills, TN, due to her injuries.
In a post on Lynn’s website on Wednesday, it revealed that the singer is at home recuperating and that it was under doctor’s advisement that she postpone the concerts to better convalesce.
“Although her injuries are not serious, she will be undergoing minor surgery and Loretta’s doctors have advised her to stay off the road until she’s made a full recovery,” the statement reads.
The singer is currently postponing shows in Renfro Valley, KY, Newell, WV and in Bristol, TN. It has not been announced when the shows will be rescheduled. There are an additional 14 dates remaining on her tour calendar, which run through April.
Earlier this year, Lynn released Full Circle, her first studio album in 12 years. It features traditional covers and re-recorded originals. More recently, the Grand Ole Opry unveiled footage of the icon performing her classic “You’re Looking at Country.”
