Little Big Town to Salute Gregg Allman on New Season of Web Series

Founding member of the Allman Brothers and legendary Southern rocker Gregg Allman will kick off the second season of the intimate live-performance webcast Skyville Live, joined by country stars Little Big Town and bluesman Taj Mahal.
Airing December 11th at 8:00 p.m. ET exclusively on skyvillelive.com, the concert promises a night of exciting collaborations between the diverse lineup, as well as a celebration of Allman’s contribution to American music — including iconic hits like “Whipping Post,” “Midnight Rider” and “Melissa.” Filmed in Nashville in front of a studio audience, the performances will be live-streamed in full HD.
The unique, mobile-device-ready show’s first season kicked off in January with the soulful stylings of Gladys Knight, Martina McBride and Estelle, and was followed in April by a country mashup of epic proportions — a salute to Kris Kristofferson that featured guests Lady Antebellum, Jason Isbell and Brandy Clark.
Allman is currently touring in support of his latest album, Gregg Allman Live: Back in Macon, GA. He has southeastern concert dates scheduled through January 16th before hoping onboard the Rock Legends Cruise IV on January 21st.
Last August, Allman discussed rumors of an Allman Brothers Band reunion with Rolling Stone Country — the group split up after playing their final show in New York City on October 28th. “I don’t know the timeline — but if we did [reunite], we’d do it right. And to do it right, we’d do a whole damn tour,” he said. “I’m not ruling that out, and I never did.”
