The new year will bring new music from Lauren Alaina. The Georgia singer-songwriter will release her latest album Road Less Traveled on January 27th via Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope Records.

Produced by Busbee (Maren Morris, Keith Urban), Road Less Traveled is Alaina’s second full-length release and follows Wildflower, her 2011 debut, which hit Number 5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart its first week. Alaina came to prominence after finishing as runner-up to Scotty McCreery during the 10th season of American Idol.

Alaina released the album’s first single and title track earlier this year. “Road Less Traveled,” which she co-wrote with Jesse Frasure and Meghan Trainor, tells the true story of Alaina’s difficult history with bulimia.

“I had an eating disorder for like four years, and I was just lost,” Alaina told Rolling Stone Country of writing the song earlier this year. “I was 15 on American Idol and everybody had something to say. It was like I had my really awkward phase on national television.”

Alaina, who sings with Kane Brown on “What If’s” on Brown’s new album, will hit the road with Martina McBride for her CMT Next Women of Country Love Unleashed Tour in February 2017.
