Here’s a sobering thought: winter actually just started, and it will be dragging on until next March. Happy holidays, right?
But for those close to the Gulf of Mexico — or anyone eager to escape the freeze — winter will be made a little more tolerable with the 30A Songwriters Festival in Florida’s South Walton County. Scheduled for January 15th, 16th and 17th, the festival will feature the talents of Jackson Browne, Grace Potter, Robert Ellis, JD Souther, Shovels & Rope, Leigh Nash and Kristian Bush, among many others. Additionally, top shelf pro songwriters Matraca Berg, Gretchen Peters and Suzy Bogguss will be featured as Wine, Women & Song.
Taking place along a scenic strip of the Emerald Coast in an assortment of venues, the 30A Songwriters Festival will boast over 200 performances from country, Americana, rock and more. Among them are Tonic’s Emerson Hart, Hayes Carll, Jim Lauderdale, Parker Millsap and Shawn Mullins.
Tickets for the weekend are $230 and available — along with the full lineup — here.
30A is the first of many country and country-adjacent music festivals to visit Florida. In April, the Tortuga Music Festival will set up in Fort Lauderdale with headliners Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton. More songwriter-oriented fare will be featured at the Key West Songwriters Festival in May, and the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam will visit Panama City Beach in September as summer is drawing to a close.
