Kelsea Ballerini, Arsenio Hall to Co-Host ‘Greatest Hits’ TV Series

A week after making a cameo on an episode of ABC’s Nashville, Kelsea Ballerini is planning her return to prime time. This time, the “Dibs” singer will be co-hosting her own show alongside Arsenio Hall. The six-episode series is called Greatest Hits, and it’ll focus on decade-defining songs from the Eighties, Nineties and 2000s, with live performances by a mix of modern-day artists and heritage acts.
For Hall, Greatest Hits marks a return of sorts to his days as host of the original Arsenio Hall Show, whose musical guest included everyone from a Diamonds and Pearls-era Prince to a pre-presidency Bill Clinton. Ballerini, too, has handled a few hosting gigs herself, including last year’s CMA Nominations telecast with co-host Steven Tyler. Separated in age by nearly 40 years, Hall and Ballerini help represent both ends of the Greatest Hits spectrum.
Premiering on June 30th and airing every Thursday evening through August 4th, Greatest Hits will tackle its 30-year timespan in half-decade chunks, with each episode focusing on specific songs from a five-year period. No performers have been publicly announced.
