Jennifer Nettles was looking sassy and svelte in a rhinestone-embellished, sheer top and pants adorned with bright red roses, as she belted her first solo single post-Sugarland hiatus, “That Girl.” Season 13’s fourth runner-up, Jessica Meuse, then joined her for a roof-raising rendition of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” (Watch above.)
Rock legends Kiss also joined show winner Caleb Johnson in a pyrotechnic-fueled medley of “Love Gun” and “Shout It Out Loud.” Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Paramore, John Legend, Jason Mraz, Phillip Phillips, Demi Lovato and Richard Marx also sang with contestants. And Keith Urban joined fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. for the first-ever Idol judges collaboration, performing Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way,” with Urban on guitar and Connick at the piano.
