Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line Kick Off Super Bowl Weekend

One night before Super Bowl XLIX takes over the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, a different group of (guitar) players will hit the field at the nearby US Airways Center. There, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and hometown hero Dierks Bentley are all scheduled to perform at the second installment of the Night Before, an annual concert that’ll fire the opening shots of Super Bowl weekend with twin barrels of twang and tailgating.
The Night Before won’t be Phoenix’s only country concert during the days leading up to the football championship. Earlier this month, Zac Brown Band, the Cadillac Three and Sam Hunt were among the artists announced for the DIRECTV Super Fan Festival, which runs from Wednesday, January 28th, through Friday the 30th. Tickets for that three-day fest are already on sale, while passes for the Night Before will hit Ticketmaster next Friday afternoon at 12 p.m., Arizona time.
In other festival news, the first-ever Delaware Junction was announced this morning. The three-day country and camping event will be held at the Delaware State Fairgrounds — in the same county that also houses the Firefly Music Festival — in mid-August 2015, with headlining sets by Jason Aldean, Toby Keith and Florida Georgia Line. A “Next From Nashville” stage will showcase a handful of bands on the rise, and the festival’s founders are also planning some non-musical attractions to the event, including a water slide and Bonnaroo-worthy Ferris wheel.
