Jason Aldean has announced his 2017 tour. Beginning April 27th in Toledo, Ohio, the They Don’t Know Tour will hit 33 cities on its first leg, stopping in major markets like Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
Aldean, the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, named the tour after his current album, which features the new single “Any Ol’ Barstool.” Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver will serve as support.
The Georgia-born singer told Rolling Stone Country last year that touring has changed a bit from his early days of raging. “There’s not really an afterparty. We finish the show and hang out in our dressing room backstage,” he says. “It’s not like it used to be where you were pouring liquor down [your throat].”
A consistent live draw on the country touring scene, Aldean, who has played venues from Boston’s Fenway Park to Athens, Georgia’s Sanford Stadium, says he’ll be on the road as long as there’s interest. “If I get to the point where I look out and I’m playing to mostly empty seats, I’ll probably reevaluate. That’s when I shut it down. But that’s the great thing about country music. Your fans support you. When they find somebody they like, they support them through their career,” he says.
