Inside Kelsea Ballerini’s Star-Making New Tour: The Ram Report
Kelsea Ballerini kicked off her very first headlining tour last weekend with a string of sold-out shows, including a rapturous night in Atlanta.
The hourlong set leaned heavily on songs from her debut album The First Time and included radio hits “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” “Peter Pan” and current single “Yeah Boy.”
Ballerini also treated the crowd to a pair of news songs – “Roses” and “We Were Like” – which will likely appear on her next album, currently in production.
Prior to the Atlanta show, Ballerini played a hometown gig in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the Tennessee Theater, above which her father once lived. The singer says she used to sneak into the venue when it was empty and write songs inside.
The First Time Tour continues this weekend in Illinois and Minnesota and will make stops in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Dallas before wrapping in Houston, Texas, on December 14th.
